Hopping On Board With Big Data
Who Is Driving The Bus?

About the Session

No business trend has made a bigger splash in the last few years than “Big Data.” Are you taking a proactive approach to implementing a data driven learning strategy? Are you prepared to embark on this journey?

The science of analytics is helping businesses understand what data to focus on, given a company’s key initiatives. Part of our job has been to assess the effectiveness of our designs in helping to achieve the desired outcomes of our initiatives. Solutions to big data, regardless of the tools you are using, will require a strategy to mine the data you need to connect with learning outcomes.

As roles between learning and talent management continue to evolve, with increased access to business data learning leaders will be expected to incorporate a data driven approach to impact future outcomes. This session will explore how organizations think about Big Data, how they capture/manage the data, current trends in applying Big Learning data and opportunities and challenges of big data in the learning arena.

This presentation will blend theory with practical application, including an interactive discussion with your colleagues about where you are headed and what you need to get there.

During this seminar we will explore:
• De-mystifying Big Data in the learning and talent development world
• The impact Big Data has on the today’s learning leader
• Reality and expectation of connecting your strategy to business data
• Assessing your learning initiatives in the Big Data space
• Taking a proactive leadership role in applying a data driven learning strategy
• Emerging skills and knowledge necessary for future success
• Trends and options in data capture and application
• Best practices of successful data driven learning initiatives
• Steps for connecting and aligning business data to learning outcomes
