Chapter Meeting

Coaching for Organizational Performance & Leadership Development

About the Session

Philosophy IB, located in Florham Park, New Jersey is pleased to host this much anticipated ATD Chapter Meeting.

Professional coaches inspire insight, innovation, leadership and purposeful action on both a personal and professional level to achieve desired results. Executive coaching is one of the fastest growing industries, with more and more organizations across sectors, seeking individuals with these skills. As leaders are faced with more challenges in their personal and professional lives, coaches serve a critical role in helping them raise their self awareness and enabling them to increase their own capacity to take on and improve their leadership skills.

This session will provide you with greater insight into understanding what coaching is, how it can benefit you and the organizations you serve as well as what it takes to become an effective coach, be it internal or external in nature.

The evening will begin with a presentation on Coaching for Organizational Performance and Leadership Development during which we will explore what coaching is, the benefits it provides, sustainable business impact and growth within the industry. Following, there will be a panel discussion where those involved with implementing coaching programs, utilizing both internal and external resources, will share their experiences with the group. There will be ample time for lively panel discussion as well as an opportunity for our guests to ask questions of the panelists.

Topics Explored

Those who attend will be immersed in a blend of learning and interaction with colleagues and peers. The following topics will be explored and discussed.

  • What is coaching and how is it different from other interventions, (ie: mentorship, feedback, consulting, therapy)
